What is the Signature Cake Series?

The Signature Cake Series is a limited creative-control offering where clients select a curated theme and allow me to design a one-of-a-kind cake inspired by it. These cakes are artist-led, thoughtfully designed, and aligned with my signature editorial style. 

What does "creative control" mean?

Creative control means I lead the final design. You'll choose a theme, and I'll interpret it in color, texture, form, and detail in a way that feels cohesive, elevated, and in line with the cake profile I want to create.

What is included in a Signature Theme Cake?

A Signature Theme Cake includes:

  • A theme-inspired artist-led cake design

  • Full creative direction by the artist

  • .A complimentary cake upgrade -You pay  for the size and style you want, and we provide you with upgraded premium elements

  • Complimentary matching treats -  As a thank you for giving me creative control, all Signature Theme Cakes come with a set of matching treats - at the artist's discretion. 

  • A refined editorial finish consistent with my portfolio

How do I book a Signature Theme Cake?

To inquire, select "Signature Theme Cake" in the inquiry form and choose your preferred theme. Availability will be confirmed.

Can I see the design before my event?

Design sketches and previews are not provided for Signature Theme Cakes. This allows for full creative freedom and ensures each cake is approached as a unique piece.

Rest assured, all designs are created with the same level of care, craftmanship, and style we promise our clients. 

Can I request changes or revisions?

Because this is a creative-control offering, revisions to the design concept are not included. However, I will always ensure the cake aligns with the chosen theme, your event type, and the overall aesthetic we discuss. 

If you're looking for full customization or multiple revision rounds, a standard custom cake booking may be a better fit. 

How many Signature Theme Cakes are available

Availability is limited. Only a small number of Signature Theme Cakes are accepted per theme and per season to ensure each design receives full creative attention.

Once spots are filled, standard custom bookings apply.

 

What if I'm not sure this is right for me?

That's completely okay. If you prefer a highly collaborative or fully customized design process, a standard custom cake booking may be a better fit. I am always happy to guide you toward the option that best suits your needs. 

How Do I Place an Order?

The ordering process is easy! Step one, fill out our contact form to let us know your requested order date and what you are looking for. We will confirm our availability and get back to you with a quote ASAP. If you prefer to start with a few quetions, you can send us an email or message us on social media! After confirming the order, your last task is to pay the deposit, and you are all set! You will receive a confirmation email after the deposit is paid, as well as when your order is ready for pickup or delivery. Note: Orders are not accepted without a paid deposit, and if we do not hear back within 48 hours of an inquiry or sent invoice, the requested date will be opened up to other clients.

How Far in Advance Should I Order?

We require a minimum of two weeks notice on all custom orders, however, orders are subject to availability and we are often fully booked well before that. We reccommend placing smaller orders 4-8 weeks in advance, and wedding/large event orders 4-12 months in advance. We are always happy to check availability for a rush order, but we can't guarantee, and a rush fee may apply.

Do You Accept  Same Day Orders?

We are a custom bakery, so unfortunately, we do not typically have items available for same-day or next-day pickup. Mpst of our seasonal sales are pre-order only, but occssionally, we may have a few last-minute items available. The best ways to stay informed on easonal and flash sales are to subcribe to our emails or follow us on social media. And check out our shop page to see what we have available!

What Kind of Cakes Can You Make?

Our policy is if you can dream it, we can cake it! We are always happy to collaborate with you to make your cake dreams come true. Take a look at our gallery for inspiration, and check out our Pricing and Services for informaiton on what we offer. 

Can You Make My Cake Exactly Like An Image I Send?

Photos are always welcome as inspiration. While we don’t replicate designs exactly,  because cake is art and every artist is different (and we don't want to steal somebody else's design), we use reference images to understand your style, color palette, and overall vision, creating a custom cake that is uniquely yours.

What is the Difference Between Custom & Semi-Custom?

Semi-custom cakes are pre-designed styles with limited personalization and faster turnaround times. These options can be ordered directly from our shop page. Custom cakes are designed from scratch and ordered through our custom order form.

What Is The Starting Price for Custom Cakes?

Custom cakes are priced based on size, design complexity, and details. Because each cake is uniquely designed, pricing varies. A general starting price is outlined on our Pricing & Services page, and final quotes are provided after reviewing your inquiry details.

What Flavors Do You Offer?

We offer a curated selection of flavors that rotate seasonally. Check out our Hand-Crafted Flavors section for information on our current selection. Don't see what you're looking for? Ask about custom flavor options.

What is Your Payment Policy?

To secure your order, we require a non-refundable deposit of 50% to be paid within 48 hours of receiving your invoice. Orders are not considered accepted until the deposit is paid in full and after 48 hours, your order may be cancelled. Payment can be made online directly through the invoice via debit, credit, or pay in 4 with Afterpay. To use Afterpay, you must inform us when ordering, as Afterpay can not be applied to a split payment, so you will need to pay the full amount. We also accept cash or e-transfer. Cheques are not accepted at this time. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your scheduled pickup or delivery date and if payment is not received, your order will be cancelled and deposit forfeited. Orders placed less than two weeks in advance are considered rush orders and must be paid in full when placing the order. 

Do You Deliver?

We do deliver - subject to availability - for a fee of $25 + $1/km. A full list of our services and prices can be found here. We highly reccommend investing in delivery for large orders, tiered cakes, and special events.

Do You Do Weddings?

We do! In fact, weddings are our FAVORITE. Contact us to get a quote and book a take-home tasting. You only have one wedding, let's make your cake dreams come true!

Do You Offer Edible Printing?

Yes, we have an edible printer and are happy to include printing as a part of your design, as well as sell edible images separately on our shop page.

Do You Offer Gluten-Free, Vegan, or Nut-Free Items?

We take allergens seriously. We are not an allergen-free environment and can NOT guarantee with 100% certainty that there will not be any cross contamination. However, we are happy to accommodate special dietary requests - to be consumed at your own risk - and will take every extra measure possible to avoid contact with allergens, including storing ingredients in a separate storage area, sanitizing surfaces and equipment, and storing orders on the top shelf of the freezer or fridge. 

How Can I Keep My Order Fresh?

Best storage practices vary, which is why we include full transportation and storage instructions with every order - via email and attached to your box.
